“I wrote a book documenting my #awetism journey with my son, Muaz. Since day one, we went through many ups and downs moment. I left my career to focus on Muaz and tried ways and means to unleash his potential one step at a time. Incredibly, Muaz who started out as non-verbal, makes progress day after day. No doubt, the experience has never been more cumbersome but the result has been so rewarding”

SYNOPSIS

When the experts confirmed that Lydiawati Mz’s son, Muaz, has autism, she was devastated and almost fell into depression. Against all odds and well-meaning advice, she dropped her career and everything that she had to focus on her son and break into his autistic world. She was determined not to let autism exclude her son from the everyday experiences in life.

The bond between Lydiawati Mz and Muaz sparked extraordinary discoveries. With patient work, she uncovered the strength of Muaz’s visual memory at 4.5 years old and she was fuelled to discover more. She explored deep within his obstructive, still mind, trying out different ways and means to unleash his potential one step at a time and the result was beyond anyone could have imagined.

A Worthy Race has proven that any child with autism has limitless potential if we open the right doors for them and are willing to invest our time and energy to support their journey.
